Certified Restorer (CR)
The Certified Restorer is the highest recognition awarded in the cleaning and restoration industry to professionals engaged in property damage restoration as a result of fire, smoke, water, wind and other perils. Since inception, only 520 individuals have earned the CR designation. The CR program was started in 1976 by ASCR to provide a standard of excellence in professional restoration. The "Certified Restorer" designation represents the elite in the field and a CR must continually meet the standards expected of him/her by ASCR in return for the privilege of displaying the CR credential.
ICC Building Inspector Certification
ICC Building Inspector Certification gives Meridian the knowledge, technical expertise and commitment to protect public health safety and welfare through enforcement and knowledge of the International Building Codes. Continuing education is a requirement to maintain membership in this organization.
ICC Disaster Response Inspector Certification
ICC Disaster Response Inspector certification enables Meridian to respond to a disaster site prepared to set up onsite command structures, indentify unsafe buildings, uninhabitable structures and interface with code officials and insurance companies on methods of remediation or mitigation. This certification is recognized by code officials world wide.
Asbestos Project Supervisor Certification
The Asbestos Project Supervisor is recognized as Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) Model Accreditation under the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) and also meets the criteria for OSHA Competent Person requirement.
Asbestos in Buildings USEPA/AHERA Inspector
The Asbestos in Buildings accredited USEPA/AHERA Inspector is qualified in the legal considerations, regulations and health effects of asbestos. This certification allows inspection, bulk sampling, assessment and report preparation for the containment, removal and disposal of asbestos containing material (ACM).
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certified Firm
Meridian is a Certified (RRP) Firm with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Companies engaged in the disturbance or removal of Lead-based building materials must comply with regulations set forth by the EPA under the Renovation, Repair, and Painting program. Meridian has Certified Renovators, Supervisors and Abatement personnel that are highly trained and qualified to disturb, remove or abate lead-based materials in homes, apartments, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978.
Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) Member
The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) is dedicated to promoting education and certifications to professionals who seek to make America’s homes and business healthier from hazards associated with biological pollutants, unhealthy building by-products, combustion products, carbon monoxide and lead dust.
IAQA Certified Microbial Investigator
IAQA Certified Microbial Investigator (CMI) is a professional who concentrates on diagnosis and treatment in a single area of expertise: microbial contamination. Though mold is only one of many potential causes of IAQ problems it presents unique challenges to building owners and facilities managers and is therefore a crucial area of concern. The CMI relies on detailed scientific knowledge of microbial agents to identify and account for microbial contamination and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.
IICRC Certified Firm
Meridian is a Certified Firm with the IICRC and has pledged to implement advanced training and certifications of their On-Location Technicians who provide services for water, smoke and fire damage restoration, in addition, Meridian has Pledged its support in providing the customer with the highest degree of industry professionalism possible.
Meridian maintains Water Restoration Technicians (WRT), Advanced Applied Structural Drying Technicians (AST), Applied Mold Remediation Technicians (AMRT) and Fire and Smoke Technicians (FST) that are highly qualified in restorative mitigation and restoration methods and procedures.
